Used John Deere
Finding that great deal may be harder than you think
How do you know when you have a good deal on a tractor, because its used, I mean the only way to be sure is to ask questions, but also, you have to know who your dealing with, if you have an honest man then chances are your in good hands, but if not then look out, because just because a tractor has a value does not mean that it is worth that value.
The time to buy is now and here are some good reasons the time is right, yes, the market is ready and so are the sellers.
Getting that tractor that you have wanted for so long, may not be as hard as you imagine.
If you have been saving up to buy a tractor then perhaps now is the time because of the market, and the way things are going if you want one you better find one because you may be needing one, soon.
Amazing tractors, and for some there is no other option but a deere, when you want to get the job done right the first time, accept no other, but what if you are going to buy a used tractor, how do you know if you are getting a great deal and not just a name brand, pile of junk.
Naturally there are a few things to look for when shopping for a good used john deere tractor.
Oil,
Look for oil and dirt and pay attention to where it is located, is it around the engine, front or rear?
Around the axles?
Is there a heavy build up of dirt near the axles, this could be a sign that you may have to do some work on the unit after you buy it, and it can also tell you about the previous owner and how much effort, the owner put into maintaining the tractor.
If you see a unit in poor condition, but it is priced at a good price then that is something to consider.
Naturally you also want to notice what may not be there, and that is dirt, if there is no dirt and the engine looks really really clean, Too Clean, then that is also an indication that you may want to ask questions and that brings us to the most important thing you can do and that is to ask questions.
Ask about how often the oil was changed, when was the clutch last changed, do the gauges all work?
While it might feel like you want to buy it now, sometimes it is best to wait and come back another day, you can almost always spot something you missed the first time.
